Want a Pool Deck That Looks Amazing?

Broward County's Marble Deck Experts: Elegant, Cool Surfaces That Turn Heads

You know that feeling when you walk into someone’s backyard and immediately think, “wow”? That’s what marble does. It’s the difference between a nice pool area and one that looks like a luxury resort. Your current deck is fine, but it doesn’t have that elegance. It doesn’t make guests stop and compliment your space. And honestly? You’re ready for something that feels special.

Poolside Renos installs marble pool decks across Broward County that look stunning and feel incredible underfoot. Natural marble stays cool even in Florida’s sun, has that timeless elegance you can’t get from concrete or regular pavers, and transforms your entire backyard into something you’re genuinely proud to show off. We’ve been working with marble since 1998, so we know how to source quality stone, install it properly, and seal it to handle Florida’s weather and pool chemicals.

When Marble Installations Look Amateur (And Why You're Left Disappointed)

stone that’s laid without consideration for color variation or veining patterns. Then there’s the sealing issue; skip proper sealing or use the wrong products, and your marble stains, etches, or deteriorates way faster than it should.

Three Ways Bad Contractors Ruin Marble Decks

  1. Installation Without Understanding Marble’s Characteristics

Marble has natural veining, color variations, and unique characteristics in every piece. Contractors who don’t understand stone lay it randomly without planning the visual flow. You end up with jarring transitions, mismatched colors sitting next to each other, and veining that fights instead of flows. Professional marble work means sorting, planning, and installing for visual harmony. Most contractors skip this entirely.

  1. Poor Leveling and Lippage Issues

Marble shows every imperfection. Even slight height differences between tiles create lippage that looks unprofessional and creates trip hazards. Proper marble installation requires precision leveling, quality thin-set, and attention to detail, which most contractors don’t have. They rush the work, and you’re stuck with a deck that looks amateur, no matter how expensive the marble is.

  1. Wrong Sealing or No Sealing at All

Marble is porous and needs high-quality sealing to protect against stains, pool chemicals, and moisture. Some contractors use cheap sealers that fail quickly. Others tell you sealing is optional and you’ll be fine. You won’t. Marble around pools needs commercial-grade penetrating sealers that protect the stone while maintaining its natural beauty. Anything less means stains, etching, and premature deterioration.

Here’s the truth:

Marble is a premium material that requires specialized knowledge, proper tools, and genuine care during installation. It’s not something you learn on the fly. Contractors who occasionally install marble between concrete jobs don’t have the experience to do it justice. You invest in beautiful stone and end up with mediocre results because the installer didn’t understand what they were working with.

At Poolside Renos, we’ve installed marble pool decks across Broward County for over 25 years. We sort stone for visual flow, level meticulously to avoid lippage, and seal with products that actually protect your investment. Your marble will look as stunning five years from now as it does on installation day because we understand the material and respect the craft.

Tired of contractors who make marble look ordinary?

How We Install Marble Decks That Look Like Magazine Covers

Step 1: Free Consultation & Stone Selection

We discuss marble types, finishes (honed, polished, tumbled), color options, and tile sizes. You see actual samples in our showroom so you understand exactly what you’re getting. We give honest feedback about what works for your style, budget, and how you use your pool area. No pressure, just guidance from people who genuinely love working with natural stone.

Step 2: Detailed Written Estimate

You get a comprehensive proposal covering everything: site prep, base installation, marble material, installation labor, sealing, and finishing. Every detail is itemized so you know exactly where your investment goes. We don’t hide costs or surprise you mid-project with “unforeseen expenses.” What we quote is what you pay.

Step 3: Permitting & Project Scheduling

We handle any required permits and schedule your installation with realistic timelines. Most marble deck installations take 1-2 weeks, depending on size and complexity. We account for proper curing time, weather, and the detailed work that quality marble installation requires. No rushed timelines that compromise the final result.

Step 4: Site Preparation & Base Installation

We excavate to the proper depth, install drainage solutions, and build a perfectly level base. Marble requires precision; even small variations in the base show through in the finished product. We compact properly, slope for drainage, and create the foundation that luxury stone installations require. This step determines whether your deck looks professional or amateur.

Step 5: Marble Sorting & Layout Planning

Before any marble goes down, we sort tiles for color consistency and veining patterns. We plan the layout so transitions flow naturally and the finished product looks cohesive, not random. This is where experience matters. We’ve done this enough times to know what works and what looks forced. Your deck gets planned like a work of art, not thrown together like a puzzle.

Step 6: Precision Installation

Our crews install marble with meticulous attention to leveling, spacing, and pattern flow. Every tile gets checked for lippage. Grout lines stay consistent. Cuts are clean and precise. We work methodically because marble shows every mistake. There’s no hiding sloppy work with natural stone; it either looks professional or it doesn’t. Ours looks professional.

Step 7: Professional Sealing

We clean the marble thoroughly and apply penetrating sealers specifically formulated for natural stone in pool environments. These commercial-grade products protect against stains, pool chemicals, and moisture while letting the stone breathe naturally. Proper sealing is what keeps your marble looking pristine year after year.

Step 8: Final Walkthrough & Care Instructions

We walk the entire installation with you, explain maintenance specific to marble, and answer your questions. We provide care instructions that keep your deck looking magazine-worthy for decades. You understand what products to use, what to avoid, and how to maintain that stunning appearance long-term.

Ready for a deck that makes your neighbors jealous?

Why Broward County Homeowners Trust Us with Marble

We’re Marble Specialists, Not General Contractors

Marble requires specialized knowledge about stone characteristics, proper installation techniques, and sealing requirements. We’ve installed marble pool decks across Broward County for 25+ years. We understand natural stone in ways general contractors don’t. This is our specialty, and it shows in the finished product.

Family-Owned Since 1998

We’re local owners who’ve been part of this community for over two decades. Your neighbors are our neighbors. We see our customers around town, at restaurants, and at events. Our reputation is personal, not corporate. We do beautiful work because our name and our family’s reputation are attached to every project.

We Source Quality Marble You Can Trust

Not all marble is created equal. We work with suppliers who provide consistent quality, proper grading, and stone that performs beautifully in Florida conditions. You’re investing in luxury material, we make sure it’s actually luxury quality, not bargain stone that looks good for six months and disappoints thereafter.

Attention to Detail That Shows

We sort stones for visual flow. We level meticulously to eliminate lippage. We plan layouts that look intentional and elegant. These details separate stunning installations from mediocre ones, and we sweat every detail because we genuinely care how your deck looks. This isn’t just a job to us, it’s work we’re proud to put our name on.

We Focus on Homeowners Who Value Quality

We work primarily in Weston, Boca Raton, Parkland, and Coral Springs areas, where people understand that beautiful work costs more than mediocre work, and they’re okay with that. We’re not chasing volume or trying to be the cheapest bid. We’re delivering installations that look stunning and last for decades.

Licensed, Insured, Here for You

Full licensing, comprehensive insurance, and we’re not disappearing after we cash your check. We’ve been here 25+ years, and we’ll be here 25+ more. When you have questions or need advice years down the road, we’ll still be here answering the phone. That matters when you’re investing in something as permanent as natural stone.

Questions? We've Got Answers

Why choose marble over travertine or pavers?

Marble has a refined elegance that travertine and pavers can't match. The polished or honed finish, subtle veining, and color depth create a luxury aesthetic that elevates your entire backyard. It stays cool underfoot like travertine but with a more sophisticated appearance. If you want your pool area to look genuinely special, marble delivers that better than any other material.

Doesn't marble stain easily around pools?

Properly sealed marble handles pool environments beautifully. We use commercial-grade penetrating sealers that protect against pool chemicals, sunscreen, food, and drinks. Follow the resealing schedule (every 2-3 years) and basic care instructions, and staining won't be an issue. Unsealed marble stains. Properly sealed marble performs wonderfully.

Is marble slippery when wet?

Honed or tumbled marble provides good traction even when wet. We don't recommend polished marble for pool decks because it can be slippery. Honed finish gives you that beautiful marble aesthetic with slip resistance that's safe for wet feet. It's the perfect balance of beauty and function.

How long does marble last?

Properly installed and maintained, marble lasts 30+ years. It's natural stone, one of the most durable materials available. The key is quality installation (level base, proper sealing) and basic maintenance (periodic resealing, gentle cleaning). Do it right, and marble outlasts virtually every other deck material while looking better throughout its lifespan.

What's the maintenance like?

Pretty straightforward. Sweep regularly, hose occasionally, reseal every 2-3 years. Use pH-neutral cleaners, no harsh chemicals or acidic products. Clean spills promptly, especially anything acidic. That's about it. Marble isn't high-maintenance; it just needs the right care. We provide detailed instructions so you know exactly what to do.

Does marble get hot in the Florida sun?

Marble stays significantly cooler than concrete, dark pavers, or tile. Light-colored marble reflects heat instead of absorbing it. You can walk on it barefoot comfortably, even on hot days. It's not quite as cool as travertine, but it's much cooler than most materials and offers that luxury aesthetic travertine can't match.

What does marble deck installation cost?

Marble typically runs $20-$40+ per square foot installed, depending on the specific stone, finish, and installation complexity. It's a premium material with premium results. Yes, it costs more than basic options. It also looks stunning, stays cool, and lasts for decades. We provide detailed estimates so you understand the investment and what you're getting for it.
